My name is Mark Petri and I live in McKinney , TX. I'm married and have two grown daughters. I own a small business that builds cabinets for commercial and residential applications. Living in McKinney puts Lake Fork, Lake lewisville, Lake Ray Roberts and Lake Texoma within an hour of my house and puts me on one of them a couple of times a week. I try to fish all the weekend tournaments on those lakes that I can. Each lake gives me the opportunity to fish a different technique, but pitching a jig is hard to beat. I grew up in central Illinois and always had the opportunity to fish and hunt with my dad in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Kentucky not knowing that it would lead to an "obsession" as my wife calls it. Moving to Texas over 30 years ago has put me right in the heart of "Big Bass Country". Raising a family always slows those passions. Although I've not fished or hunted all those years, I've always kept in contact with the outdoors. I started fishing competitive in 2005 and won Bass Champs "Kiss My Bass" on Lake Ray Roberts. Fork and Roberts are "slot limit" lakes and make it tough to throw 8 and 9# fish back because they're in the slot, but when you do catch that big fish it'll be a winner. Fishing FLW Stren Series, BFL Cowboys Division tournament trails this next year, along with Legends Owners, Skeeter Owners, McDonalds Big Bass , Berkleys and many small company tournaments keeps my boat in the water.
